Methi Rice

Ingredients:

  1. Rice:- 200gm
  2. Methi:- 1bunch
  3. Coriander:- 1/4 bunch
  4. Onion:- 1 big chopped
  5. Garlic paste:- 2 tsp
  6. Oil:- 4 tsp
  7. Salt:- to taste
  8. Red chilli powder;- to taste
  9. Asafetida (Hing) :- a pinch
  10. Turmeric powder:- as required

METHOD:-

  • Wash methi and coriander and chop finely.
  • Put half of the oil in a pan; add onion and garlic paste and sauté for 5 minutes.
  • Add turmeric,hing,chilli powder and methi and coriander to it and cook for 5 to 7 min.
  • Put salt and cook for 2 min and switch off the gas.
  • Put water and salt in the rice and cook the rice in a cooker.
  • Heat remaining oil in a vessel add cooked rice and methi paste mix well and sauté for 2 min, and switch off the gas. Serve hot.
