Wheat Khichadi

Ingredients:

  1. Whole wheat – ¼ cup
  2. Moong Daal – 2 tsp
  3. Green Chilly – ½ chopped
  4. Ghee – ¼ tsp Oil – ¼ tsp
  5. Water – 3 cup
  6. Salt to taste
  7. Turmeric Powder – 1 pinch
  8. Asafoetida (Hing) – 1 pinch
  9. Jeera – ¼ tsp

Method:

  • Soak wheat overnight and drain the water soak Moong Dal for 2 – 3 hours and drain the water.
  • Grind wheat coarsely without adding water in a mixer.
  • Heat oil in a pressure cooker and put Jeera, green chilly and hing
  • Add blended wheat and soaked Moong Dal and saute it for 5 minutes
  • Add water and turmeric powder.
  • Cook with 4-5 pressure and serve hot.
